SCOTTISH CEILIDH

A day at the Highland games will prepare you nicely for the Gathering’s “crowning jewel” – the huge “SCOTTISH CEILIDH” Saturday night at the Royal Canadian Legion in Perth-Andover!

Music and Dance are the foundation of any Scottish Ceilidh and this one will definitely not disappoint!  Here you have a unique opportunity to get “up close and personal” with the imposing Massed Pipe Bands and the amazing skills of the Gaelic Breacan Highland Dancers.

Back by popular demaind to headline Ceilidh 2010 is Moncton's own Mason's Tender, who are fast becoming the GOS House Band. They rocked the house last year at the Castle and stole the show as the opening act at Ceilidh 2009.

Combining Acadian and Celtic Music with a rock sensibility, this group fires up any audience through their jigs and reels. Frontman Bryon Chase who has toured for years with East Coast Music Association Nominees Bansheecombines amazing vocals with band-mates Gabrielle Caissie and Chris Daigle.  Hearty story songs bring beer mugs down to pound out the beat on the table as Stacey Read’s rollicking fiddle weaves it's magic.
